Derivation of मातृ, पितृ etc

Hi all,
The words कर्तृ, श्रोतृ, भोक्तृ, दातृ, धातृ etc are derived from the
corresponding धातुs, कृ, श्रु, भुज्, etc and the meaning is one who does
that particular action. (Eg: यः ददाति सः दाता, यः करोति सः कर्ता )

Origin of a mantra ॐ तत शंयोर आवृणीमहे

Sirs,
The following mantra is shown as invocation of पुरुष सूक्त । However, it
could not be found in Rg Veda (Mandala 10 where the Sukta is present)
I shall thank the group for letting me know where is this mantra from.
Is it a shanti mantra?

Origin of काणेलीमातृ

Hi all,
I was reading the text मृच्छकटिकम् and came across the word काणेलीमातृ and
came to know that it means a bastard. It means that one whose mother is a
काणेली which probably means a prostitute or courtesan. But
spokensanskrit.deor monier williams dictionary doesn't have काणेली as

a”Vrittajatisamuccaya” by Virahanka with a commentary by Gopala edited by
