How ancient is Hinduism?

Tue, 01/16/2007 - 19:58
The word Hindu is coined by Britishers after their invasion to India. Before that there is no reference available in any Sanskrit text. According to the modern Hindu theory there should not be any varna-ashrama dharmas. This is in lines with Christianity, it seems. Hinduism is not even a branch of Sanatana dharma. Someone has told Hinduism is 'pracchanna chraistavam.' Christians want to propagateprasadhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/17003295312003230273noreply@blogger.com0

Pondering over the so called dead language..(1)

Thu, 08/25/2005 - 19:53
How to revive the prisitne glory? Here, I want to share some of my views on the spoken aspects of the Sanskrit language. Thu, 08/25/2005 - 12:35
The holy Hindu scriptures: RgVedaThe root for Veda is “Vida (Jnane)” which means knowledge. The Vedas are four in number: RgVeda, YajurVeda, SamaVeda and Athrva Veda respectively. According to some historical resources, RgVeda is considered the oldest among these four by its language and style. Vedas are not authored; Sage Vyasa or Krishna Dwaipayana classified the Veda.
